Here’s how to increase your blog’s traffic using pinterest to get over 200,000 pageviews in just one week!
Pinterest is my number one source of traffic. With a viral pin, my blogpost can get thousands of page views per day in it’s peak. Therefore if you want some extra exposure for your blog and want to increase your blog revenue then get on Pinterest. Here’s how you can increase your blog’s traffic using Pinterest in 4 small, easy steps!
Now does this really work? YES! I grew my pageviews to over 1,000,000 with these four simple things. In the space of a week I grew my pageviews by 200K and I did not go on Pinterest once within that week. Some of my viral pins included ‘How to Start a Bullet Journal‘ and ‘The Ultimate University Packing Checklist!‘

These are my stats the week before I implemented my strategy:
I spent a few days implementing my four mini methods and here are my stats when i went on holiday!
Increase your blog’s traffic using Pinterest:
1) MAKE MULTIPLE PINS FOR EACH BLOG POST
Different pins will appeal to different people so make a few! I use Canva for mine and love the choice of pinterest layouts they have. When I moved to SiteGround (I highly recommend them) I was finally a wordpress.org blog. This means you have access to extra post options. With extra post options you can add different images from a post to appear in different places on your site. You can also add hidden pinnable images with a CSS code. That way if the pin doesn’t suit your blog it actually doesn’t need to be on it!
2) JOIN GROUP BOARDS
This is the most important point ever! If you have a small following the chances of your pins being seen, repinned and going viral is smaller than people who have thousands of active followers. Joining group boards with thousands of followers will increase the amount of people who see your pin. Be smart about the boards you join though; it’s quality not quantity.
DO NOT PIN OTHER PEOPLE’S CONTENT ON GROUP BOARDS- ONLY YOURS!
If you want to join a group board to get started I have a BEST OF BLOGS group board. All you have to do is follow me and send me a message that you want to be apart of the group.

3) BE DESCRIPTIVE WITH YOUR DESCRIPTIONS
That’s right, you could have the most pinnable image in the world however, if you don’t have a description with keywords for your niche, less people will see it! Do a bit of research and look at popular pins in your niche, can you emulate their descriptions? Make sure you maximise how visible your pin is!
4) BE AS PROFESSIONAL AS YOU CAN BE
It’s time to make your ‘mug’ board private (yes, i nearly cried when i made mine private, too) as you have to appeal to the people in your niche. They do not want to see wanderlust boards, they’re here for blogging help. When people follow you they are essentially following your posts. If you give them something they don’t wan to see, they wont follow.
Along with this make title pins for each of your boards. This will give you a personal brand vibe to your account which will entice people to follow. The more people that follow you, the more people who see your posts!
And there you have it, folks, my 4 small ways you can increase your blog’s traffic using pinterest. It may not be a speedy process but you will see a rise in just a matter of weeks! Do you have anymore simple Pinterest tips and tricks to increase blog traffic?
