These Adorable Mini Artificial Colourful Trees
These mini trees are so cool! I love how quirky and cool these trees are and the colours are amazing. The first one is an exact match and I am so tempted to buy them myself and do something like pictured above but on my windowsill!
These over the chair wreaths are so perfect and festive. If you are having people over for Christmas I highly recommend these because they look perfect!
When done right, like this, stair garlands can really transform your home into a Christmas wonderland. I love these so much and the fact they light up makes everything much more nice and cosy. If you don’t have stairs, these can be added to your windowsills, fireplaces etc.
This Set of Light Up Presents to put Under The Tree
I don’t know about you but we all wait to put presents under the tree until Christmas Eve otherwise it’ll be a mess in our living room. Having these gorgeous light up gifts is a perfect solution.
These reusable snowflake stickers are a fun decoration if you are not into outside of the house decorations. Not only this but they’ll make your house look so much more cosy and Christmassy. They also make a great addition to a child’s bedroom. Oh and they’re REUSABLE!
These are the ultimate Christmas candle mood. You can put them anywhere, on your fireplace, on your windowsill, your radiator covers, anywhere you would like!
These gorgeous red floral sticks are absolutely gorgeous. They would make a perfect centrepiece and a gorgeous addition to your mantle, fireplace and window ledge.
Transform your home into a Winter Wonderland with these gorgeous snowflakes. These snowflakes are not only perfect for small apartments and hallways but amazing for a kid’s bedroom!
What a fantastic idea this is. A tinsel wall tree is perfect if you live in a small apartment, at university or are on a budget. Seriously, it looks so cool and modern.

A Pine Branch Wall Tree
A step up from the tinsel tree we have the pine branch wall tree. How cool is it that you can just buy these pine branches and just stick them on the wall!?
This post is giving you the most scrumptious coffee bullet journal spread ideas you absolutely need to try!
Hot, iced, black, or milky, the way everyone likes to drink their coffee is unique. What’s not unique however is the fact that we all love a cup of coffee, whether that be morning or night, we are all here for it. We love coffee so much so that we make coffee bullet journal spreads dedicated to it!
I have even made coffee bullet journal monthly themes!
In this post, we are giving you plenty of coffee bullet journal inspo for you to feast your eyes on and use in your own bullet journal.
Not a coffee lover? No worries, these coffee bullet journal spread ideas work just as well for tea etc.
This post is all about coffee bullet journal ideas.
Coffee Bullet Journal Supplies
As with all of my bullet journal spread ideas, you DO NOT need to be an artist to recreate these posts. There is a coffee bullet journal inspo post in here for all artistic abilities and styles. Plus, the spreads are all so pretty to look at so definitely keep scrolling.
Before we get into this coffee bullet journal ideas post, I thought I would pop in a few of the stationery bits that have been commonly used throughout all of these spreads and items that will make drawing these spreads a bit easier.
These circle stencils will save your life when it comes to drawing the majority of these spreads. We’re talking coffee cups, the inside of the cup, habit trackers, coffee beans, etc. Save yourself so much time and effort and check these out- they are so worth it!
I will not shut up about these markers, and there’s a reason. For the price point (27 for 72 markers) these dual tip markers are phenomenal. Within this pack you also get a great selection of oranges and browns that can be used in a variety of spreads.
If you are to get any tombows for these spreads, the saddle brown shade is a perfect coffee tone. This tone is great because you can use it for other things as brown is a very versatile colour, especially for autumn/ winter spreads!
Coffee Bullet Journal Ideas
Coffee coffee coffee, now whether you are after a easy coffee bullet journal spread, or something way more aesthetic- this is for you!
This is the first post from Thuy’s Bujo in this blogpost and boy, isn’t it a sensational coffee bullet journal spread? Coffee cups as habit trackers isn’t something I ever thought of combining but now that I see it, it is genius.
If you are going to try this habit tracker (which you deffo should) definitely check out these circular stencils! This will make drawing the cups out so much easier and will save you so much time!
In all of my years of bullet journalling I have never seen a coffee weekly spread like this. I love the use of mugs as daily headers and think its such a lovely idea. Definitely use a circle stencil for drawing these mugs, otherwise equip yourself with a pencil and a very big eraser ๐.
Another scrumptious spread from Thuy’s bujo. If you do not use a brain dump in your bullet journal, you NEED to try one! This is your sign, as you make your coffee spread, put a brain dump like this in it.
Brain dumps are essentially a place where you can track all of your thought and random notes you have. For example, ‘should i start ballet?’ Yeah you may not do it but you’ve put it down so you can revisit it at a later date.
I say this a lot but collages in journals are the best thing ever. I love the personality in this spread! The colours, the layers, and the little doodles are gorgeous. Yes this probably does require a printer/ stickers, but if you do not have those, different coloured paper (that you can draw on and write on) will work well!
Temi has done a phenomenal job on this coffee self-care spread. The coffee looks so real, I just want to drink it all up! Not only that but this gives off cosy vibes which is perfect for the self care theme of this spread.
2 of the best things in the world! This spread from Emiko is so lovely. I love how simple yet effective this coffee bullet journal cover idea is.
The great thing about this is that you can draw whatever you want in the coffee art and instead of the florals you can put something else you like (like books, makeup, etc.)
This coffee bullet journal cover page is so cute! The simple cafe bullet journal doodles are super easy to draw. They add so much to the page and the coffee beans are a super great addition.
Also, how great is this coffee brown Mildliner?
If you want to know how to draw these a bit better, check out this post here!
This spread from Rox is amazing. The halving of the page is really effective, with one half as the cup and the other as steam, with the month coming out of it.
Again you can definitely jazz this up with changing the colour, maybe adding a few designs to the cup. This is an easy to recreate spread which can be personalised to whatever your liking is!
Speaking of hot coffee, this spread is dedicated to my fave: iced coffee! Yep, that’s it. That and the fact this iced coffee looks absolutely scrumptious! I love the fact that they have incorporated the name of the month into the iced coffee as ice. SO COOL- definitely try out this iced coffee bullet journal cover!

Have an empty space in your coffee bullet journal theme, definitely put something like this coffee machine in there. You can even decorate the borders with coffee beans, coffee washi and brown pens.
This playlist spread from Kayla is scrumptious. I love all of the coffee tones used as sort of music backgrounds and the white and black pens used on top of them.
Also the attention to detail in this spread is insane- the coffee ring is such an amazing touch and looks fantastic.
This cover from bujo.books is a great simple coffee bullet journal cover for all minimalist lovers. I love how the coffee cup is small and centered with the month’s title.
The brush lettering adds a really cool side to this spread, too and pairs well with the little coffee doodle, as the page is quite simple in itself.
Another amazing spread from kla.journals. I love this idea so much. If you have a content based job/ side hustle (like instagram, tiktok, a blog etc.) this content planner is so cool and useful to put into your bullet journal.
Cafe Coffee Bullet Journal Cover
All I can say is…. wow! My artistic ability could never do this but if yours can definitely do this!
This was my bullet journal theme for September 2020 and i actually really liked it! Take it from me, someone who is not very good at drawing, you can definitely still have a nice coffee bullet journal theme.
This did take a while to make (especially my cafe spreads- check those here) but it was nice to sit there and zone out for a bit!
17. Mood Tracker
This is the first mood tracker we have in this post and it’s such a good idea!I owuld have never thought to make the latte art into the mood tracker- genius!
18. Coffee Is Always A Good Idea – Coffee Bullet Journal Weekly Spread
This emoji cup from Kiara is extremely cute! Paired with the fall style stickers and warm brown tones, this coffee bullet journal spread screams cosy vibes.
The emoji cup is such a cool idea. You can use it as a mood tracker for the week and put the facial expression of how your week has gone at the end of the week on it.
This mood tracker from Zara is adorable! You can have so much fun designing all of your coffee cups and by the end of the month you will have a great cafe coffee cup shelf for your bullet journal.
Yep. This is way too pretty not to include in your journal.
21. Watercolour Weekly
Hoaslife created this really cute coffee bullet journal weekly theme using water colour and markers!
That was 20+ delicious coffee bullet journal spread ideas you need to include in your bullet journal! As always, let me know/ tag me on instagram (@thecuriousplannerblog) if you get inspo from any of coffee bullet journal posts <3
This post is giving you the best, swoon-worthy, floral bullet journal spreads you absolutely NEED to try!
We all love a floral bullet journal spread, don’t we? Whether that be a monthly cover page, a weekly, or any sort of spread, if it has some florals on it, we’re here for it. There’s something about floral spreads that just lift your mood and make your bullet journal super pretty.
This post is going to give you over 20 floral bullet journal spread ideas that you can use in your bullet journal today! The great thing about florals is that they really are so adaptable and versatile, that you can use and adapt them to all seasons and festivities.
Having said that, we’ve got your back in this bullet journal inspo post, as we are giving you floral bullet journal ideas for every season (and how you can adapt them!)
This post is all about floral bullet journal ideas
Floral Bullet Journal Essentials
Here are some absolute bullet journal must haves for these amazing floral spread ideas:
You’re probably thinking ‘am I going to have to have INSANE attention to detail to draw these spreads?’ In short, no, you do not.
The following floral bullet journal ideas range in artistic ability so there are definitely more than a few posts in here for you to try, no matter your artistic ability.
For all of us science nerds and botany lovers, this one is for you! The test tubes, and of course the chemical molecules in the background, are amazing attention grabbers and really make the spread.
This is actually super cool because you can change up the colours, the flowers and even the chemical symbols to ones you love (like serotonin, oxytocin, and if you really love it, aspirin ๐.) I say that because it is the only symbol I remember.
This may look quite complicated but these Zebra Mildliners actually make drawing it so much easier (trust me, they are a dream to work with.)
Sunflowers are the prettiest summer flower to draw in your bullet journal! They are also the prettiest flowers to see in the summer and take photos with. Bring the sunshine into your bullet journal and recreate this yellow sunflower tracker.
The hibiscus flowers paired with an icecream cone absolutely SCREAMS summer, and I am here for it! One of the things I love about this spread is that it is so creative and versatile. You can change up the flowers, the colours and even the mini background florals.
How cute is this spread!? I love the pink florals that seem so easy to draw and recreate. You can even change up the colours for different seasons and occasions. Can you imagine how pretty this theme would be in the winter with purples and blues? ๐
Now you have probably already seen my bullet journal dutch door ideas (if you haven’t definitely check it out here) and this dutch door is just as gorgeous as the rest! The cut out does not seem too intricate and can definitely be done with your standard pair of scissors. If you’re looking for something a bit more precise, this craft knife is AMAZING!
How absolutely gorgeous is this page!? The floral fineliner diagrams on top of the coloured circles work so well together. I think this is just such a gorgeous page and can be adapted in so many different ways. You can change the florals up for different seasons and also the colours!
Sarah has done such a cool job with this mood tracker. I love the daisies used and the fact that she has used different shades of orange to colour code it.
You could also go ahead and make one big daisy and then just colour in the petals for each day.
Another beautiful dutch door. Amber did a great job creating this February cover page. The little floral doodles are so sweet and the dutch door is probably one of the easiest dutch doors to cut, with just two simple semi-circles.
The use of washi tape to ‘tie off’ of the flowers is such a great idea and adds a great dimension to your bullet journal. Depending on the mood of this spread you can change up the washi and colours to suit your vibe.
Can we all just pause for a moment to admire how amazing the attention to detail in this is. I like how everything was drawn with a fineliner and the title is really nice and bold.
The dots for the habit tracker are also a really nice touch, compared to the usual tick or colouring in of the box.
The purple and yellow colour scheme is also super pretty and I would definitely recommend doing something like this.
You’ve got to love some lavender bullet journal spreads. Why? They are so easy to draw; just a line with a few circles and then you’re done! This means making lavender themes is so quick and easy- definitely a great last minute theme.
Another gorgeous floral bullet journal spread from Wakana Bujo. This cover page is so bright and jolly, you can’t help but smile and feel happy when you look at it. The warm yellow tones contrasting with the lush green is super stunning.
I wouldn’t say this would be exactly difficult to draw but the sunflower leaves may require a bit of patience.
This weekly floral bullet journal spread is so gorgeous. I never thought to use florals as a border, and it works so well here. Definitely try this out if you can ๐.

The name of this flower is on the tip of my tongue, but I cannot recall it, for the life of me. This is another super pretty spread from Lilly. Sometimes drawing the bigger florals is so much easier than drawing the smaller ones as they take up much more space ๐.
Does anyone else get Animal Crossing vibes whenever they see pansies? I do ๐ This floral bullet journal spread is so cute and bang on theme for February.
Such a gorgeous spread from Jennica! I love the colour blocking of the florals to the days in the monthly grid. This spread can be adapted for different months and seasons, like blues for winter, pastels for spring, and sunset colours for summer.
Let’s all just pause for a second and appreciate the beauty of this summer bullet journal cover page. OMG. The warm yellow/ oranges paired with the lush greens reminds me of a summer field and beautiful sunsets.
This spread idea is so lovely. Pick your favourite flower, draw it and write about it! I definitely think i am going to do this with sunflowers, hydrangeas, lillies, tulips, and fuschias.
There we have it, the best Floral Bullet Journal Spread Ideas for 2021 that you most definitely need to copy/ take inspo from.
If you do recreate any of these, let me know!

In this post, we are giving you the ultimate first year university essentials, you did not know you needed! We are skipping over the obvious and delving into the university essentials you have not even thought about!
Heading off to university is super stressful. What do you bring? What do you not bring? What do you need more of? What do you need only one of? Absolute stress. Luckily for you, I have been there, done that and I have so many posts that will help you pack for university!
This post is focusing on first year university essentials you do not want to miss out on. So yep, freshers, I am looking at you!
Not a fresher? This post is still perfect for you, as if you are like me, there would be a few things you may forget!
This post is all about first year university essentials!
List of Things You Need for University
This post is going to skip over the usual stuff (like duvet’s etc.) and instead focus on the other bits and bobs every fresher needs! If you are looking for a great big university packing checklist, definitely check out my ULTIMATE University Packing List (with 70+ things you NEED to pack!) Honestly, it is life savings and includes every basic thing you need.
However, if you have all of that down- here are some first year university essentials that will totally make your life easy.
First Year University Essentials
As said above we are skipping all the basics and focusing on the very cool university essentials; things that will really peak your day-to-day student experience.
Now you’re probably thinking, wtf (right!?) But this mug warmer is an absolute game changer. Sit this on your desk and your mug stays warm for hours. No more wasting coffee, or reheating your hot drinks, as this mug warmer will have your drinks tasting great for HOURS.
This also makes a pretty good gift if you know anyone who is at university or working from home!
University books are bloody expensive so you do not want to be spending 100s, when you can just take them out from the library. These tabs are an absolute life saver when it comes to marking you books and notes. I use these to mark my reading-for-pleasure books, too.
The best way to use these is by colour coding the arrows so one could be definitions, another can be criticism, and so on.
A lot of people overlook these fun little tags but they are seriously the best!
A plate stacker is so important. The cupboard space your given is minimal; probably a tall two shelf compartment where everything will be piled on top of each other. This will add some much needed organisation that will maximise your storage space; allowing you to store more food and plates.
Not only is this great for kitchen things but you can also use it for skincare or even on your desk.
This is a very perfect first year university essentials. You’re not going to have many electricity outlets in your room; with the majority being around your desk area. These handy-dandy cord organisers will stop your cords from being jangled up but also keep them in reach and not all over the floor when not in use.
Save yourself the stress around move in day and buy an extension lead!
An extension lead is great if you have more electrical items than you outlets (which will most likely be the case.) These extensions leads are great for spreading out electrical items throughout your room, like lamps etc.
Buy some tea towels and always keep one in your cupboard or in your room because trust me, the time will come for you to dry your hands, only to touch a manky tea towel that hasn’t been washed in months! It’s a horrifying experience, which therefore makes this on of the most important first year university essentials.
I used to always use a bag for life, which works okay, but this baby is a game changer! No more riffling through your clothes and separating them out into lights and darks, this bad boy does it for you! It also saves you from accidentally having all your whites turning grey because of that one black sock.

Honestly, your mattress in halls is going to be super uncomfortable. So many people have slept on it (and other things) before you. When you think about it, it’s actually quite gross- like are these mattresses ever cleaned?
Having a mattress topper, is one of the vital first year university essentials, as it will give you both a better night’s sleep AND piece of mind you’re not sleeping on top of some unwanted germs.
Having these card games are golden at university, especially during the first couple of weeks. I have honestly lost count at the number of times I have played ring-of-fire at a pre-drinks. I have also lost count at the amount of times people have forgotten which number means what!
With this super cool card game, you will essentially be holding an icebreaker in your hands and it will really help you to get to know people.
A fully stocked first aid kit is an awesome thing to have on you at university. Have a headache? You have some paracetamol. Got a blister? You have a plaster. Whatever you need, to keep yourself in top shape, you will have.
This is a probably the most important first year university essentials that comes with 92 pieces of potentially life saving items <3
You’re at uni, your housemates will either want to save money by keeping the heating off, or your heating will not work AT ALL. Having a hot water bottle is perfect for those freezing cold days and this pouch is absolutely GENIUS! We’re talking a fake warm hug by what seems to be a koala ๐ This is also perfect to heat up straight before bed and have it with you the whole night so you don’t freeze to death.
Plus, this is absolutely perfect for that time of the month.
Backpacks are lifesavers when at university. Not only are they more comfy when carrying your books but they can double up as shopping bags and weekend away bags.
I have done a whole post on the best backpacks to buy for university here, so definitely check it out if you are in the market for a new bag.
This one from Kroser I used for my last two years at University and it is, by far, the best bag I have every brought. It carried so much stuff, both university and lifestyle.
Toothbrush covers are awesome for when travelling, if you keep your toothbrush in you room or if if you keep it out in the open in the bathroom. If you have a shared bathroom and keep your toothbrush in there, please, please, cover your toothbrush!
Love going out but HATE carrying all of your stuff? A bumbag is the perfect solution for you. It means you do not have to constantly keep a bag on your shoulder or your hand on your bag and just go hand-free and enjoy your night.
This brand is great because they have so many colours and styles!
Hear me out on this one ๐. This box is so genius. I saw it on tiktok and had to include it as one of the best first year university essentials. Yes, you can use it as a traditional safe where you can store money etc. BUT you can also use it in the fridge, in your cupboard, and even in your bathroom!
If you have/ think you’ll have housemates who are constantly using your things and eating all of your snacks, pop them into this bad boy and never have your things stolen again!
These also come in a few colours and are stackable so i would definitely pick one up!
They may be a mouthful to say but these bags are brilliant! Keep one little pouch in any bag you carry to save you spending money on throw away plastic bags. Not only are these beauties money savers, but they are both beneficial for the environment and will help tackle the ever growing plastic bag mountain your uni flat will start building upon moving.
Make your room smell as nice as possible, since you’ll be in there a lot. I think the best way is to get a plug in for the wall as a lot of accommodations (both university provided and private) do not allow candles burning. Having said that, these work so much better and really work to push the smell all over your room.
These are quite affordable but they do run out quickly so I recommend buying in bulk to save money!
This pen is a little genius tool that will serve you so well in not only uni accommodation but rented accommodation, too. Your landlord will charge you SO MUCH money for leaving little holes in the plaster. So do yourself the favour from now and spend a couple of pounds to save 100s later :p. Also this tool is so fool-proof; you use the pen to fill out the hole in the wall and use the scraper thing to scrape off any excess product.
Never lose your phone ever again with this phone tether! The amount of times I have put my phone down somewhere to realise only two seconds later I cannot find it anywhere. With this handy little bad boy, you just put it around your wrist and never have to worry if you have accidentally dropped your phone or left it on the bus. We’ve all been there and never want to go back!
This strainer is a great 2-in-1 gadget. Use it as a traditional sieve for when you don’t have any counter space. Also use it as a traditional drying rack for when yours and your housemate’s dishes excessively pile up ๐
I have this exact one and I honestly love it so much! Unlike your traditional material ones this caddy is so durable and looks great. These are essential if you share a bathroom and want to keep your shower things altogether. I would keep this in my room and then just easily pick it up as and when I need to have a shower, brush my teeth, etc.
This shower caddy is a great organisational tool to keep all of your things together and also stops people from using your stuff!

This is the ultimate guide of life saving university essentials every single student needs.
Heading off to university can be super stressful. What do you bring to university? What do I absolutely need? These are the questions you no longer need to ask yourself because luckily for you, as an ex student, who has packed up to go to university three times(!!) I know EXACTLY what university essentials you need!
This post is all about 22+ absolute university essentials that will make your life so much easier!
University Essentials You NEED!
Now we are not talking about the absolute basics in this post (if you would like those click here for every single thing you need for university), we are talking about university essentials you should definitely bring but are not crucial. However these essentials for university will become your life-saving items in no time!
First thing’s first, get a first aid kit. This is an absolute life saver… literally. This nifty little thing comes with bandages, plasters, safety pins, gauze and more. The only thing you will need to add is some paracetamol and you are good to go.
I always reached for my first aid kit; when I accidentally cut myself, or burnt myself (accidentally) on the stove, or even when I had blisters from a pair of shoes.
2. University Essential: Water Bottle with Timings!
I have one of these and I freaking love it! It helps me drink SO much water (more than I would do if it didn’t have the timings!) The timings really are motivational and give you a great indication of how much water you are drinking throughout the day! ๐ An ultimate university essential for health and sanity.
As I am typing this, my laptop charger is thrown across my pen pot to stop it from falling behind the desk. I need to invest in these 100% now, but these would have helped SO much at university. Your desk/ nightstand are really your only place where you can place things so these cable holders will be great for arranging all of your cables and keeping them tidy and organised.
Your storage in your university room will not be great; whether you’re in halls or a house, you will need more storage. This is why an over the door organizer is one of the best university essentials that will make your life so much easier! You can put this over your bedroom door or your bathroom door and dedicate each compartment for different things!
These could be getting ready steps, things you need to grab before you leave, towels, toilet paper, etc. Whatever you need you can place in this bad boy and know exactly where it is and grab it with ease.
This also comes in a range of colours so their is definitely something that will suit you!
Whether you are a guy or a girl, you wear makeup or you don’t , using towels on our face is so bad for our skin! However, using cotton pads is bad for the environment. Which is why these reusable pads are one of the perfect university essentials. It saves you money, saves environmental waste, and also saves your skin!

Whilst at uni/ college you’re exposed to so many people (and go to a lot of parties etc.) It’s very important to put your safety first and carry a personal safety alarm with you- you never know when you are going to need it. Hopefully you don’t but its always best to be safe than sorry.
I’ve had more than a few shower caddies that were of absolute awful quality, and broke on me after about a week.
I would suggest investing in a nice durable one like this, that you can put all of your bathroom stuff in and carry it to the bathroom as and when you need it.
A true lifesaver when you are holding up your towel yet do not have enough hands to carry all of your shower bottles ๐.
Having said that you can also put all of your cleaning supplies in it.
This is just common courtesy really. There is nothing worse than going into the bathroom after someone’s number 2- especially a stranger. Buy on for yourself, buy one for your whole house, keep it in the bathroom, just get one lol.
There is nothing more annoying than accidentally putting in a few white socks in a dark wash, or something dark in a light wash. Say goodbye to discoloured laundry and separating your clothes, and hello to just being able to chuck it into the wash!
This is a great university essentials as it saves you so much time, money and stress.
Something you may forget but something that is so vital is an extension lead! This bad boy also comes with some USB cable ports so you don’t even need the charger head.
You will not realise how many electrical items you have until you get to uni and only have two plugs.
These little lamps are absolute gems! They are rechargeable light sources(? lol what?) that can sit on your desk, you can move it around, take it with you anywhere, and have a great light source.
These lights come with different light intensity options (which is great when doing makeup, school work, and even winding down for the night), so you really can’t go wrong with this lamp.
Oh and this one has a pen holder! We love a multi-functional queen ๐.
I don’t think much needs to be said about having a planner. Planners are life saving. Planners are the key to staying organised and getting stuff done.
Planner are one of the ultimate university essentials that you need no matter what. These Boxclever planners are great because they come in a bunch of different formats and styles!
13. Bento Box – The Ultimate University Essentials
This bento box is so frickin cool! I would take leftovers a lot to university and its good to have something that is nice and sturdy that comes with cutlery and more than one compartment!
You can separate your main and your snacks, which is great, and you never have to awkwardly ask staff for plastic cutlery again ๐
uni teas are mank so bring your own flask with a tea bag in and ask for hot water (life saver)
most coffee shops in and around campus will give you money off if you have a flask
you can take it with you to morning lectures
little waste!
I had this brand when I was a student, and really recommend them! One thing I would say though is that these flasks can be quite leaky so do NOT put them in your bag.

These are an absolute must-have. A set of good pillows will last you your whole university life and perhaps even beyond. These are so important to make sure you have a good, comfortable sleep every night and wake up nice and refreshed for your studies ๐.
I live in my blanket-jumper! This will honestly save your life because at university/ college your heating is either never on or it is broken. It’s important to stay nice and cosy so definitely purchase an oodie.
Yes, these really do exist. Yes, you 100% need one.
It is so annoying sitting at your desk and having your tea/ coffee go cold ten minutes into your work.
Buy this mug warmer so you will always have a nice hot drink. This means less trips to the kitchen and a less chance of awkward conversation on said trips to the kitchen ๐.
Sometimes you’re in class or on the train home and there is no power outlet in sight. Grab one of these amazing portable chargers to keep your phone’s battery up and avoid your fine dying on you. This specific one is very lightweight so it will not weigh down your bag and will charge your phone 0-100% twice.
You’re probably wondering: ‘why do i need these?’ Well in shared accomodation you are likely given one cupboard and one shelf in the fridge. These clear containers will optimise your space, keep your food separate and all the while, allowing you to see what you have in both the fridge and the cupboard.
It’s great to have these containers because as you are sharing a fridge, people put questionable stuff in their so you really do want to keep your food separate.
These ones from mDesign are the cheapest and nicest I have found.
Chances are you will be working at, socialising around and eating at your desk. This means your desk is bound to get a little messy and dirty. This mini desk vacuum is perfect for catching crumbs, eraser bits and general mess from your desk.
Its small size means it can easily fit in a desk drawer or shelf and is easily transportable. This also comes in a range of colours so there is bound to be a colour that fits your aesthetic.
This will help you so much and keep you from throwing crumbs and paper on the floor!
Whatever you do, do not use anyone else’s tea towels. You have no clue what they have been used for and how long they have remained unwashed for.
These are staple university essentials that only you should touch. Keep on in your room and one in your cupboard and thank me when you are 1 month into uni and other people are using a slimy ass dish towel to wipe their hands on.
If you are going home longer than a few days, you will probably need a little suitcase to put your things in, instead of breaking your back with a bunch on unnecessary bags.
The best on for this, imo, that’s the most affordable and durable is this plain amazon basics one! This has gotten me through three years of uni and loads of little city break holidays. I highly recommend this.
There we have it! 22 University Essentials for 2021 that will make your life SO much easier!

Here are 5 of the most effective apps to stop procrastination AND are guaranteed to keep you off of your phone!
Have an important deadline coming up? Or have an assignment due soon? Know about these things but still cannot stop procrastinating on your phone? Same. We’ve all been there and visit back… frequently.
The key is to be able to say ‘stop,’ put your phone down and actually crack on with some work when you need to. Now, not all of us (including myself) have the willpower to not pick it up again five minutes later.
Trust me, I have been there and I have tried so many apps to stop procrastination, and I have found these 5 apps are the best, guaranteed to keep you off of your phone, and will stop your fingers from twitching to check your socials.
This post is all about the best apps to stop procrastination!
Best Free Apps To Stop Procrastination
All of these apps are free and are truly the best procrastination apps out there! This isn’t the ultimate key on how to stop procrastinating BUT these apps will really help!
This app allows you to time how long you want to stay off of your phone for. How? You plant a tree and if you go on your phone… the tree dies. You wouldn’t think it, but this is such a great incentive not to wander off of the app as no one wants a forest of dead trees.
You can also do a group session, which is great, especially when you are doing some long library sessions. I used to do them all of the time at university with my friends, which is why I believe this to be one of the best apps to stop procrastination!
With the paid version you can plant different trees, which is a great motivator. If you have the free version and someone you are doing a group sesh with has the paid version you can plant all the trees they have. The more trees that die, that you want to remove, the more you have to pay to remove them, which really stimulates you not to go on your phone!
This app is truly an awesome and is one of the best most interactive procrastination apps for students or people that will get obsessed with planting pretty trees!
Toggl is essentially a time keeping app that times how long you stay on a task for.
When you set a task, you can assign it a colour category, and start the timer for your task. Until you complete the task, you can pause and restart the timer at your pleasing.
The great thing about this app is that you can create reports and dashboards to see how well you have been doing for each task/ category. For example, it may show that you’ve been spending way too long completing admin tasks. Therefore, these are the tasks you should prioritise first to get them out of the way with.
Having a timer and eventually knowing how long it takes you to complete a task, will mean you stay off of your phone for as long as it takes you to complete the task.
Focus To-Do combines the Promodoro method with task management.
The Promodoro method is a time-task (totally made that up) method that requires you to work for 25 minutes straight, have a break for five and repeat.
Focus To-Do is one of the best apps to stop procrastination out there. It is essentially your to-do list, where you focus on one task at a time. Once you have picked a task you set the promodoro timer for 25 minutes and get to it! You will then get a five minute break and repeat until you are satisfied with what you have done.
The Promodoro timer is great! Counting down is an effective way to stop you from reaching for those time consuming apps because you know at the end of your 25 minute break you will have 5 minutes to do whatever you would like.
But where do we put our to-dos? Check out our digital weekly to-do planner:
4. Freedom
Freedom is a great app that stops you from going onto websites that take up your time.
This is a chrome extension app that once activated you can create a list of blocked websites (like reddit, pinterest etc.) so when you click on them, you cannot access them.
This app doesn’t stop you from going onto different apps but it will help keep you on track and stop browsing!
Simple Habit is not your traditional ‘one of the best apps to stop procrastination and keep you off of your phone’ app. It doesn’t time you, it doesn’t block your screen, instead it gives you time for a five minute meditation.
if meditation is not your thing, then you can totally miss this one out BUT, there’s no harm in trying it. These five minute meditations are thought to relieve stress, and sleep more. This overall helps you improve your mental health and achieve more (thus making you more productive!!)

Best Backpacks for Students
From reviews, and asking TCP followers, we have been able to give you the best backpacks for students that tick all of the above boxes. We’ve tried to stick to Amazon as they really do supply us with the best bags, and we can recommend these options to the globe, but there are some Asos and some other non-Amazon brands here (especially if they were cheaper and highly recommended!)
Speaking of price, we know students don’t have the funds to spend 100s on a bag, which is why most of these bags are under 40 in whatever your currency is in!
This bag is not only such a stylish bag to look at but it truly is one of the best backpacks for students, and thats not only because it looks like a cloud but because it is a dream when it comes to comfort!

July Bullet Journal Cover Ideas
July is a pretty awesome month, there is so much going on and so many things you can include as your July bullet journal cover spread.
You cannot go wrong with peaches in the summer. I love these peachy watercolour vibes that you can easily create with brush pens and of course watercolour.
I love the building monthly themes. This, unfortunately, is beyond my artistic ability and patience limit but it is absolutely gorgeous. An amazing July bullet journal cover aesthetic spread!
I would highly recommend trying this if you have the time to dedicate to it ๐
Add a twist to the usual lavender theme and add some summery shades instead. This july bullet journal cover screams late summer nights, picnics and sunsets; the ultimate summery vibe.
5. July Bullet Journal Cover Summer Patriotic Cover
For all of you Americans out there: here is a great July bullet journal cover summer: 4th July idea. I love how the artists combined lollies, fireworks and the american flag colours to give a great hydrid cover!
Make this absolutely stunning July bullet journal cover! ๐
I love the lemon theme and think it’s so perfect for the summer. Lemons are actually super easy to draw so if you are looking for something quick and easy yet really pretty, these are for you!
If you would like to see an extensive list of things I use and have used in my journal, check out my must have bullet journal supplies (great for beginners.)
Saved by The Bell meets a Summer in the 2020s. We’re loving what Madi has done with this cover. This is such an easy July bullet journal cover idea for you to copy and would highly recommend if you want something quick!
Kayla threw all summer vibes out of the window with this one and did whatever she wanted ๐. I personally love space themes and this one is super cute and easy to copy!
I LOVE these sort of covers! Adding different papers and patterns to your journal gives it a super cool dimension and ultimately makes your journal a but less plain.
Another watermelon theme but this time, Kate has added some kraft paper to make a picnic out of it! Using Zebra Mildliners, the colours of the watermelons are bright but not in your face neon.
Overall, this is probably my favourite watermelon cover idea!
This post is showing you 15 awesome bullet journal dutch door ideas you need to try in your bullet journal!
Dutch doors- something to fear or something to love? This is definitely the latter! Dutch-doors are one of the best things about bullet journalling and can work so well in numerous spreads. This post is focusing on the beauty and versatility that comes in the form of a bullet journal dutch door!
When I first started doing dutch doors all the way back in 2016-17 it was just cutting the page horizontally/ vertically. However, now, thanks to everyone’s creativity, the possibilities of a dutch door are endless and this post is giving you some of the best bullet journal dutch door ideas.
This post is all about bullet journal dutch door diy spread ideas!
What is a Dutch Door?
A dutch door is simply when a page inbetween your bullet journal spread is cut in some way, so when it is turned you can see sneak peaks of the bullet journal spread either side. The dutch door method can be used to cut a page vertically, horizontally, in straight lines, or strange shapes… whatever you fancy.
Bullet Jounal Dutch Door Method
Making a dutch door can be very easy, especially if you have the right tools. Here are two tools I HIGHLY recommend:
The craft knife is a super important tool when creating a dutch door. Not only does it give you smooth and precise lines, but you have more freedom using a knife to create shapes and sweeps, compared to scissors. When creating your bullet journal dutch door spread with the craft knife, a protective mat is SO IMPORTANT! These knives are sharp so you do not want to cut the rest of your journal, or anything else you put underneath. This kit is so good because if makes implementing the bullet journal dutch door diy method so easy as it comes with everything you need!
I am obsessed. That’s it. I cannot get over how genius this idea is from Laura! I love the moon and the moon’s phases but I would never have thought to put it into a dutch door. The bullet journal dutch door weekly idea is so amazing and adds so much magic to your otherwise mundane weekly spread!
Such a clean and clever dutch door idea from bujoandbrushstrokes! This was created by taking the four weeks within the month and cutting them into a dutch door format- just clean straight lines!
So to create the bullet journal dutch door monthly spread, instead of taking just one sheet and cutting, you will take 4-5 sheets and give a cut down the middle to create a monthly dutch door.
Spruce up your spendings and add this super lush foresty dutch door to your journal. Unlike some other bullet journal dutch door ideas this one is so simple to cut out and could perhaps just be done withsome precision scissors.
This is my most favourite reading tracker that I have ever created. I can easily flip through my year and see all of the books I’ve read, the rating, the month, and all of the stats confined into two whole pages!
Such a great idea from Isabel! Similar to perhaps my reading tracker, this dutch door idea is dedicated to a year overview. Isabel has used hers as a future log but you can use yours for assignments, birthdays etc.
This is so purrfect (I had to!) If you are skilled with some scissors or own those cool paper knives, i 100% recommend trying something like this with your favourite animal! It is so unique and adds such a cool dimension to your journal.
To personalise it even more, you can print out a picture of your pet and stick that onto the cutout. ๐ฅบ๐
When I first started bullet journaling, the dutch door was a big craze and I always used to do a horizontal dutch door. The washi tape perfectly covers any potential rough edges the cutting will leave.
10. Floral Bullet Journal Dutch Door Monthly Spread Idea
This idea is so cool! You can print out a letter if you are not comfortable with lettering, stick it on the florals and then cut around it for a dutch door!
This particular dutch door spread idea will look so cool, especially with writing behind the dutch door in a handwriting/ bookish print!
The hexagon dutch doors are so unique! They act as both a page tab but also a cool element for the theme! This monthly spread idea is also fairly easy to make. If the hexagons are making you feel a bit apprehensive, then you can always cut out hexagons separately and stick them on to the vertical dutch door spreads to act as page tabs.
This bullet journal dutch door spread idea is making me want to stay in doors with a cup of tea and read a good book. I love it! Despite the dutch door being just a straight line, tristartist.nl has used newspaper, craft paper and stickers to make this spread POP.
There we have it! Bullet Journal Dutch Door Ideas you NEED to try in your bullet journal!
Thank you to everyone who allowed me to use photos of their bookshelves for this bookshelf organization ideas post! Please do not repost them ๐
This post is showing you the top 10 bookshelf organization ideas that will make you want to re-organize your bookshelves!
Presenting your books is one of the best things about owning so many books. There’s nothing better than walking into your room and seeing your precious books so beautifully displayed ๐.
This post is all about bookshelf organization ideas!
Why You SHOULD (Re-)Organize Your Bookshelf!
Switching up and organizing your bookshelf in different ways refreshes your TBR and makes you want to read those books instead of buying more.
Not only this but re-organizing your bookshelves reflects you! It helps you sort out the books you want and don’t want. Ultimately, making your bookshelves more you!
Use your bookshelves to showcase your favourites but also make your shelves functional for you!
Bookshelf Organization Ideas
The great thing about these bookshelf organization ideas is that you can bundle them up. For example, I combine genre and author and it organizes my books extremely well!
A very popular idea is to arrange your books via author! You can do this by favourite authors like I do or the author you own the most books of!
2. Alphabetical Author
Another choice, which most library’s do, is to organize your books alphabetically by author! This is possibly the smartest choice and if you have loads of books it’ll be very easy to find a book you are looking for.
3. Colour
Rainbow bookshelves are honestly the most aesthetic to look at! However doing this means you have to have really colourful books (and books in a range of colours!) Also, doing this will mean your book series are broken up.
4. Genre
I arrange mine via genre and author. Arranging by genre makes the most sense to me because they are grouped together in a category, which can bundle up the series and author within it.
5. Favourites
I LOVE this idea. it’s so cool and makes your shelves extra personal. Essentially you would have favourite shelves, favourite genres… anything you want.
Put your favourite series on display! Just like the favourites idea, you can show your love of your most beloved book series!
7. Read and Have not Read
This is such a cool, interesting and probably destructive idea for a lot of people who hoard books ๐. If you have bunch of books on your shelves you have not yet read this is a great idea to help you read them! The more you see the group of unread books, the more you’ll want to get rid of them by reading them!
Now I thought of this idea and thought it was so cool! To think you could have so many books on your shelves written a hundred or so years a go, but also a book that was written this year is insane! I guess it would be so cool to physically see the dates your books were published, especially if you’re interested in reading older literature!
9. Height
If you hate mismatched heights, like I do, this is for you! Have all of your bigger books on one shelf, or on side of the shelf depending on how you are organising your books.
Have books in a series of different sizes? Lay the bigger ones down and have the smaller ones stood on stop!
10. Paperback and Hardback
Keep your paperback and hardback grouped together. This is much more appeasing to the eye and overall I recommend this no matter how you organise your bookshelves!
That is 10 brilliant bookshelf organization ideas every reader should try.
This post is giving you the BEST Pens for Bullet Journaling That Do NOT Bleed through your journal pages.
As a bullet journal enthusiast, there is nothing more annoying than creating a beautiful bullet journal spread only to find that it has bled through to the equally pretty spread before it, and after it. High quality, non-bleed through pens can be quite hard to come by, especially if you are on a budget. However, I have been journaling for years now and have found some of the best pens for bullet journaling that do not bleed and are within your budget!
This post is all about the best pens for bullet journaling
What are the best pens for bullet journaling?
I have tried and tested hundreds of pens over the years and have found that these pens are the absolute tip-top for bullet journaling! These pens range from markers to fineliners, so whatever you are in the market for, we have got you covered. We also cover a range of price ranges, too!
If you have been keeping up with my bullet journal, you will know how much I have been loving these pens from Sakura! I use them every single day both in and out of my bullet journal. They glide onto the paper amazingly well and there’s no bleed through- even with the brush tip.
Do not be like me and put off purchasing these because they have changed the game for me and I regret not buying them sooner!
Zebra Mildliners are everything I wanted in a highlighter growing up and more. Forgot those ugly, neon colours and think of the rainbow because that is the range of colours the Mildliners come in. Not only this but they are also DUAL TIP; where one side is a marker and the other is a highlighter. These do NOT bleed through and the colour pigmentation is frikin amazing.
I created my August 2020 bullet journal cover page; which is my most favourite cover page I have ever done with mildliners. It came out super amazing and pigmented. I just absolutely love these pens and recommend them to everyone!
These pens are fairly new to me but they have fast become one of the best pens for bullet journaling. Why? They are CHEAP and SO GOOD! The ink from these pens flow so seamlessly across the page and the pigmentation is *chefs kiss.* I think out of all of the ink based/ biro pens these are a but more expensive but are totally worth it.
The only Tombow I own is this black Tombow dual brush pen. I love it! The brush nib is so much stiffer than those from cheaper brands, and the marker side of the pen is much thicker than other ones I have tried.
What I am saying is, the Tombow dual brush pen compares to no other. However, if you want to buy loads of other colours (like I wish I could) it can potentially set you back a bit. However, I am pretty sure it will be 100% worth it becuase these pens are great.
In terms of bleed through I can only talk about the black pen which is the darkest one (duh ๐) and that does not bleed through at all so I assume the others do not bleed through either.
5. Best Pens for Bullet Journaling: Hethrone Dual Brush Pens
For cheaper brush pens, you NEED to check the Hethrone dual brush pens out! I am in love with these pens. For the price, the quality is great and the colour selection is crazy big. If you are new to brush pens, definitely try these out first, just to practice with, especially for calligraphy. I create most of my spreads with these, with one of the most recent being the March 2021 cover page!
Like most brush pens, they are dual tip. However, unlike the Tombow dual brush pens, the pen tip of this a fineliner. No bleed-through is ever present on either side.
I 100% recommend these to anyone trying out dual brush pens and are looking for something affordable but of great quality!
I think everyone in the bullet journal community knows about Triplus fineliners and how GOOD these are. If you create a lot of lines, colour code, or just write a lot in your journal- these pens are the best!
They have no bleed through and come in so many colour variations, they are great starter fineliners, which I am still using 5 years into bullet journaling.
That was 6 Best Pens for Bullet Journaling that do not bleed through and are super affordable!

This post is all about some awesome bullet journal weekly spread ideas!
I am so excited to show you these weekly bullet journal ideas! Each spread is very different so regardless of your taste there will be a bullet journal weekly examples spread for you to try.
This beautiful purple floral garden is so lovely for a weekly layout. I never thought about having the florals right in the centre of the spread. This is gorgeous and a definite must-try if you love incorporating florals into your spreads!
This bright neon spread screams summer, spring and the tv show: friends to me ๐. The bright boxes and the umbrella doodles work perfect together. Also, so pleased at how so much could fit onto two pages!
This origami spread from Hannah is absolutely genius! Using zebra mildliners, she combined both bright and (dull) grey tones to create this gorg theme.
This weekly spread is so functional. With your daily to-dos on one page and a meal tracker and weather tracker on the other, it’s great! It’d be easy to swap out these sections to something that suits you like, a running to-do.
This one doesn’t really need much of an explanation as it is essentially a box with a letter in it. However, if you are not into all of these arty spreads and searching for something super minimalist, this is for you!
This weekly spread is one of my favourites from this post! I love the pastel colour scheme, which is obviously so easy to change up. It is also so easy to recreate and looks so freaking good!
Bullet Journal Essentials You’ll Need to Re-create These Spreads
If you would like to see an extensive list of things I use and have used in my journal, check out my must have bullet journal supplies (great for beginners.)
This spread is so wavey. We all love a beachy/ sea theme and this bullet journal weekly spread idea is PERFECT as essentially it is just a bunch of squiggley lines.
We love books on this blog, so this spread is no exception! I love all of the bookish stickers and the colours make me want to curl up with a fantasy book. If you love reading and books, definitely draw a spread like this!
